CALGARY – SHORTAGE Aug 26 due to critical water main repairs to the Bearspaw South Feeder Main; 21 pipe segments are in need of repair. BWA is possible if underground storage reservoirs are depleted. The underground storage reservoirs have the capacity to hold about one day's worth of water supply. If a BWA occurs, it could last several months.

GARNER LAKE (Smoky Lake County) - Cyanobacteria identified Aug 23.
LESSARD LAKE (Lac Ste. Anne County) - Cyanobacteria identified Aug 22.
MOOSE LAKE (M.D. Bonnyville No. 87) - Cyanobacteria identified Aug 21.

ONTARIO
BELWOOD LAKE Reservoir (Fergus) – Cyanobacteria observed near the boat launch Aug 23.
DEPARTURE LAKE (Fauquier-Strickland) – Cyanobacteria confirmed Aug 22.
LAKE EUGENIA (Grey Highlands) – Cyanobacteria confirmed in samples taken Aug 15 along the southern portion of the lake.
LAKE SUPERIOR (Thunder Bay) – Cyanobacteria confirmed in a water sample collected August 14 from a private beach on Scott Drive, Shuniah.
LAKE SUPERIOR (Barker's Island, Wisconsin) - Cyanobacteria observed Aug 21
NORTH MIDDLESEX - WQA issued Aug 23 to the Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System due to considerable thermocline inversion causing the lake water to turn over. Seasonal lake turnover events may bring up water with very low oxygen levels and cause higher manganese content. The water supply may have a strong odour and high turbidity but remains safe to drink.

ELLIOT LAKE Municipal WS – BWA LIFTED Aug 23. The advisory was issued Aug 21 for emergency repairs.
