PRINCE RUPERT Municipal WS – BWN was in effect November 25 to February 28. The notice began as a result of a failed BC Hydro line that services the City's remote treatment plant and the notice remained in place thru the completion of construction work required to correct a section of pipe that posed a risk of stagnant water entering the water supply. This was the fifth BWA issued in 2024 for the City of roughly 14,000; a significant portion of this system is beyond its usable life, as evidenced by near constant failures in water distribution lines that have been increasing in frequency over the past few years.

ISSUED

RED HARBOUR (1A Well Drilled + 1C Dug Well) – BWA issued February 20 due to maintenance/repairs.

LIFTED

BURGEO (Long Pond) – BWA was in effect from October 7 to February 28 for inadequately treated water entered into

the system, compromising the drinking water supply.

ELLISTON (Big Pond) – BWA was in effect from January 22 to February 18 due to Total Coliforms.

HEARTS CONTENT (Southern Cove Pond) – BWA was in effect from February 8 to 28 for a Line Break.

SASKATOON Municipal WS – 4 PDWAs were issued March 2 for Water Main Breaks.

LIFTED
