FINTRY (Westshore Estates Water System) – BWN April 8 Regional District of Central Okanagan has issued a Water Quality Advisory due to low counts of Total Coliform detected in the water supply. As a precaution, it is recommended that all customers, especially those with weakened immune systems, children and the elderly should BOIL all water for at least one minute.
This Water System does not currently meet all Canadian Standard Drinking Water Guidelines; improvements are planned in the next few years. The System draws water from a surface source and it’s treatment method solely consists of chlorine disinfection. There are approx. 327 connections.
