DUHAMEL Water System – WQA issued July 18 Recent drinking water test results show quality may be a concern due to the presence of Total Coliform bacteria. RDCK will be flushing the distribution system and retesting. The young, elderly and those with weakened immune systems should boil water or seek alternative source.

ENDERBY (Gunter-Ellison Water System) – WQA in effect July 23 This is a precaution associated with planned distribution system testing necessary to prepare for the reconstruction of the City’s lower reservoir.

FASLE BAY – BWN issued July 17 to Lasqueti Last Resort Society Judith Fisher Centre due to unacceptable water quality results (Microbiological).

GRINDROD Water Utility – BWN issued July 18 due to depressurization resulting from a power outage.

BURLINGTON – Flood July 15-16 Leaves the community at Level 2 Emergency. Burlington neighbourhood evacuated after torrential rainfall resulted in a nearby creek flooding Monday then again overnight.

CHISHOLM – July 15 A storm bringing intense rain to parts of northeastern Ontario passed through the region on Monday washing out roads and creating sinkholes. Greater Sudbury and North Bay were under Severe Thunderstorm Watch, with up to 100 mm of rain expected. While some communities were spared, the Township of Chisholm located less than 40 kilometres southeast of North Bay was hit pretty badly.

LAKE SCUGOG (Durham) - Cyanobacteria bloom confirmed July 15 through samples taken near Platten Island.

MISSISSAUGA – Flood Update: Due to recent heavy rains and subsequent flooding, an overflow of partially treated wastewater from the G. E. Booth wastewater treatment facility has been released into Lake Ontario. The exact amount of water is unknown at this time.
