ASTOTIN LAKE (Elk Island National Park) - Cyanobacteria has been identified July 16.

GOOSE LAKE (Woodlands County) - Cyanobacteria has been identified July 16.

THUNDER LAKE (Thunder Lake Provincial Park) - Cyanobacteria has been identified July 16.

BRITISH COLUMBIA

Greater Vernon Water Utility – WQA issued July 16 due to a power outage resulting in a loss of water pressure and increased turbidity to customers in the Lavington area.

PUNTATAENKUT LAKE (Quesnel) - Cyanobacteria has been sighted July 12.

SAVONA (Blue Bunch Farm WS) – BWN issued July 14 due to unacceptable water quality results (microbiological).

SPENCES BRIDGE Community WS – Shortage July 16 Mandatory Water Conservation Notice issued due to water usage exceeding the current well production capacity. TNRD and CFIB staff are currently working to expand the water production capacity and will provide updates as the situation changes.

VAN ANDA Improvement Dist. WS – BWN issued July 13 due to unacceptable water quality results (microbiological).

WEST KELOWNA (Zone 5) – July 13 WQA remains in effect: The Shannon Lake neighbourhood has now been under a WQA for over seven weeks during the City’s flushing program coupled with simultaneous maintenance work.

This Zone has some of the original subdivisions; the amount of sedimentation that has accumulated due to untreated water that has flown through the watermains for several decades is the major factor in the delay. Moving forward with the New Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant, the City reassures residents that the process with be quicker in the coming years.

SAMBAA K'E First Nation – BWA issued July 15 due to critical mechanical failure in the community water treatment system.

ONTARIO

Flash Flooding July 15-16: Localized flooding was reported from London to Toronto as multiple rounds of thunderstorms moved through southeastern Ontario dropping upwards of 100mm of rain in pockets across the region. Widespread road closures ahead of the rush-hour; flash floods stranded numerous commuters as streets/highways turned to rivers. Emergency crews responded to high number of calls related to flooding including elevator entrapment. Hydro-one reported more than 170,000 customers lost power.

GORE BAY Water System – DNC in effect July 21 following a planned outage for watermain maintenance/repairs.

LITTLE LAKE (Peterborough) - Cyanobacteria bloom suspected July 15 at both Beavermead Park and Rogers Cove beaches.
