There were 13 new advisories issued since Friday: 4 in SK, 7 in QC, 2 in BC.
Nunavut Advisory Map
In Nunavut, in Iqaluit, the Department of Health has now confirmed the presence of elevated hydrocarbons at the water treatment plant. According to the Nunavut Chief Public Health Officer,
of the six sites tested, "the North Clear Well holding tank at the water treatment plant revealed levels of contamination that could cause harm if the water is consumed. However, water in the
treated reservoir which is the last point before water delivery, showed levels below what would cause health risks if consumed." The Department of Health also stated "it is unlikely there
will be health impacts to consuming the water for the past week and the level of hydrocarbons identified in the water cannot be absorbed through the skin." The DNC Advisory remains in effect.
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, in Trois-Rivières, a preventive BWA was issued to several addresses due to water interruption for aqueduct works. A BWA was issued to a portion of one street in Laval,
reason not stated. A preventive BWA was issued to several addresses in Les Cèdres due to connection work. A partial BWA was issued in Sainte-Adèle, reason not stated. In Lorraine a
preventive BWA was issued to a number of addresses due to a watermain break. A BWA was issued in the La Baie sector of Saguenay, reason not stated. A preventive BWA was issued in the Montréal
borough of Plateau-Mont-Royal. Previously issued BWAs were lifted in Saint-Eustache and Val-Morin.
British Columbia Advisory Map
In British Columbia, 2 BWNs were issued by Interior Health in Lower Nicola, one to the Mobile Home Park, and the other, to Lower Nicola Waterworks Improvement District, both due to unacceptable
water quality results (microbiological).
Saskatchewan Advisory Map
In Saskatchewan, a PDWA was issued to a portion of Rose Valley due to treatment or distribution system equipment failure or damage. Two DWAs were issued in Prince Albert, both due to repairs.
A First Nation BWA was issued to Onion Lake-Seekaskootch Public Water System.
Newfoundland and Labrador Advisory Map
In Newfoundland and Labrador, a previously issued BWA was lifted in Makkovik.
