ADVISORY WRAP-UP

Go to provincial maps for more details on advisories

2021/11/3 12pm

There were 13 new advisories issued since yesterday: 4 in SK, 5 in QC, 1 in NB, 2 in MB, 1 in ON.

Québec Advisory Map

In Québec, in Montréal, preventive BWAs were issued in the boroughs of St-Léonard and Rosemont-La-Petite Patrie. In Rimouski, a BWA was issued to the village sector in the Sainte-Blandine/Mont-Lebel district due to connection work on the aqueduct; the Provincial Government issued a Do-Not-Consume Advisory to the Ste-Blandine municipal water system on Oct 29. It is likely the two advisories were issued in connection with the same problem, however it is notable that the municipal advisory is a BWA while the Government-issued advisory is a DNC. A BWA was issued to a portion of one street in Laval, reason not stated. In Baie-Comeau water was interrupted to one street due to public works; when service is resumed, a BWA will be in effect.

New Brunswick Advisory Map

In New Brunswick, a Boil Order was issued to Silver Meadows Park in Salisbury due to high coliform counts.

Manitoba Advisory Map

In Manitoba, BWAs were issued to Cormorant South Public Water System, and to Bernier Meats (Teulon) Semi-public Water System; advisory causes were not stated and both are categorized as short term.

Saskatchewan Advisory Map

In Saskatchewan, PDWAs were issued to an isolated area of Lashburn due to line repair, Town of Qu'Appelle due to an issue at the water treatment plant, a localized part of Rosetown due to maintenance or repair, Wadena due to hydrant repair.

Ontario Advisory Map

In Ontario, a BWA was issued to a number of homes in Red Lake due to a water break. The municipality of Red Lake reported there is the possibility of contamination due to sewage having gone into Howey Bay on Red Lake. A previously issued BWA was lifted in Elliot Lake.
