There were 12 new advisories issued since yesterday : 6 in QC, 3 in MB, 1 in NS, 1 in NL, 1 in AB.
Alberta Advisory Map
In Alberta, a BWA was issued by Alberta Health Services to Rimrock Feeders in Foothills County due to the detection of both E. Coli and Total Coliforms in the drinking water system.
Manitoba Advisory Map
In Manitoba, a BWA was issued to a portion of RM Gimli PWS, reason not stated; a BWA issued in RM Gimli yesterday is still in effect. A BWA was issued to Paradise Village Water Plant 2, PWS,
reason not stated. Advance notification of a BWA was issued in Souris; the advisory will be in effect Nov 14 and 15 due to water interruption for areas north of the Souris River due to maintenance
work on the waterline main.
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, a preventive BWA was issued to 2 streets in Saint-Lambert, reason not stated. In Ormstown, a preventive BWA was issued due to work on the aqueduct. In Trois-Rivières a
preventive BWA was issued to a portion of one street due to aqueduct work. In Sainte-Adèle a preventive BWA was issued to several streets due to aqueduct break and repairs. A preventive BWA was
issued to one street in Lévis due to area construction work.
In Saint-Fabien, a Non-Compliance Advisory was issued to residents due to water analysis for Trihalomethanes showing a non-conforming result. According to the Municipality, the water may continue to be
consumed however concerned citizens can boil the water which will cause a partial evaporation of the Trihalomethanes. The Quebec Government website states: "Trihalomethanes (THMs) are a group of
chemicals that can contaminate drinking water. THMs are formed when the chlorine used to disinfect water reacts with natural organic matter (vegetation, dead leaves). THMs contamination occurs especially
in drinking water systems supplied by surface water, such as lakes and rivers. THM concentration tends to increase in the summer and at the beginning of fall."
Nova Scotia Advisory Map
In Nova Scotia, a BWA was issued to McDonalds Restaurant in Barrington Passage, reason not stated.
Newfoundland and Labrador Advisory Map
In Newfoundland and Labrador, a BWA was issued to a portion of Happy Valley Goose Bay due to upgrades to the distribution system; the advisory applies to the north side area of town.
