There were 12 new advisories issued since yesterday: 4 in BC, 1 in SK, 4 in QC, 1 in NU, 1 in MB, 1 in NS.
British Columbia Advisory Map
In British Columbia, The City of Abbostford in conjunction with Fraser Health issued a BWN to the isolated Sumas Prairie Water System due to uncontrollable watermain breaches.
Sunshine Coast Regional District issued a BWN to parts of Halfmoon Bay, Elphinstone, West Howe Sound earlier this week due to the torrential rain events. They have now expanded the advisory to
include parts of Gibsons. They have also issued a new BWN to the Welcome Woods Area. A BWN was issued to Fairmont Hot Springs (Corix) effective Nov 24 due to water outage for watermain valve
repair; the community of Dutch Creek is also affected. Regional District Okanagan-Similkameen issued a Temporary Chlorination Advisory to all users of the Olalla Water System due to recent analysis
showing a change in the quality of the water originating in the Olalla Well. CRD (Central Regional District) has issued Wastewater Discharge Notices for several areas: Oak Bay, Saanich, Victoria,
Ganges (Salt Spring), Malivew Estates (Salt Spring), Magic Lake Estates (North Pender Island). Fraser Health issued a BWN to Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve (Chilliwack), reason not stated, but
likely in connection with the rain events of this week.
Nunavut Advisory Map
In Nunavut, in Iqaluit, repairs to the water infrastructure are taking place in a portion of Happy Valley however there was no need to issue a BWA as the DNC Advisory is still in effect.
Work to repair and upgrade the municipal water treatment plant is ongoing. A preventive BWA was issued to the Hamlet of Clyde River due to a mechanical issue at the water treatment plant.
A previously issued BWA in Igloolik was lifted.
Manitoba Advisory Map
In Manitoba,a BWA was issued to RM Grey, Public Water System, reason not stated; the advisory is categorized as short term.
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, a BWA was issued to several addresses in Joliette due to public works. A BWA was issued in the South West borough of Montréal. Two localized BWAs were issued in Laval,
reasons not stated.
Nova Scotia Advisory Map
In Nova Scotia, a BWA was issued to Isle Madame Service Station (Richmond County). Previously issued BWAs were rescinded for Salty Rose Beach Houses and MacLeods Cottages.
Saskatchewan Advisory Map
In Saskatchewan, a PDWA was issued to Hawarden due to line break or pressure loss.
