There were 8 new advisories issued since yesterday : 2 in MB, 1 in BC, 2 in SK, 1 in NU, 1 in NL, 1 in QC.
Ontario Advisory Map
In Ontario, Public Health Sudbury has issued notice to residents of Espanola who consumed water from the Espanola Drinking Water System either on Jan 31 or Feb 1 to "monitor themselves for
illness due to potential exposure to Cryptosporidiosis due to a mechanical issue with the coagulant feed at the Espanola Water Treatment Plant which resulted in potentially improperly treated water
entering the distribution system." According to health unit officials the issue at the plant was resolved and they consider the risk to any resident who drank the water during the affected time
period to be very low. The notice was issued as a precautionary measure only. Cryptosporidium is a microscopic parasite that causes the illness known as Cryptosporidiosis .
Manitoba Advisory Map
In Manitoba, a BWA was issued to a portion of Russell-Binscarth Regional due to a water main break and repair; a previously issued BWA, also due to a water main break, is still in effect.
A BWA was issued to Pinawa PWS, no reason stated, short term.
Nunavut Advisory Map
In Nunavut, a previously issued BWA in Iqaluit was rescinded while another was since issued to a large number of addresses due to work on the water infrastructure.
British Columbia Advisory Map
In British Columbia, a localized BWN was issued by Regional District Central Kootenay to some users of South Slocan Water System due to water interruption for a leak repair.
Saskatchewan Advisory Map
In Saskatchewan, a PDWA was issued to Riceton due to a power outage. A PDWA will be in effect Feb 6th in Bethune due to line break or pressure loss.
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, a preventive BWA was issued to several streets in Richelieu due to an aqueduct break.
Newfoundland and Labrador Advisory Map
In Newfoundland and Labrador, a partial BWA was issued in Stephenville due to system maintenance or repair.
