There were 15 new advisories issued since yesterday: 3 in AB, 2 in MB, 4 in SK, 2 in QC, 2 in BC, 2 in NL.
British Columbia Advisory Map
In British Columbia, Garibaldi Coast issued BWNs to Backeddy Resort due to a positive E. Coli sample result, and to Howe Sound Pulp and Paper due to water treatment failure or malfunction.
Saskatchewan Advisory Map
In Saskatchewan, an EBWO (Emergency Boil Water Order) was issued to Oxbow due to the detection of E. Coli in the water distribution system. A PDWA was issued to a portion of Griffin due to line break
or pressure loss. Two PDWAs were issued in Kinistino, both due to planned maintenance; three previously issued PDWAs in Kinistino are still in effect, all due to maintenance in different municipal zones.
Alberta Advisory Map
In Alberta, blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) advisories were issued by Alberta Health Services for Isle Lake, Paddle River Dam Reservoir, and Thunder Lake.
Newfoundland and Labrador Advisory Map
In Newfoundland and Labrador, BWAs were issued to Cape St George-Rouzes Brook due to maintenance or repair, and to Ferryland-Deep Cove Pond due to no free chlorine residual having been detected
in the water distribution system.
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, a preventive BWA will be in effect for four streets in Lac-Mégantic starting Aug 8, due to aqueduct works. A preventive BWA was issued to several streets in Lévis due to
an aqueduct break. Previously issued BWAs were lifted in Notre-Dame-de-l'Île Perrot, Sainte-Adèle and the Montréal boroughs of Ville Marie and VSMPE.
Manitoba Advisory Map
In Manitoba, BWAs were issued to Notre Dame de Lourdes PWS and Newdale Colony SPWS; advisory causes were not stated while both are categorized as short term.
Nova Scotia Advisory Map
In Nova Scotia, previously issued BWAs were rescinded for Raven Haven and Battery Provincial Park.
