ADVISORY WRAP-UP

There were 16 new advisories issued since yesterday: 2 in MB, 1 in ON, 7 in SK, 3 in QC, 1 in NL, 2 in AB.
Saskatchewan Advisory Map
In Saskatchewan, PDWAs were issued to Dorintosh due to reservoir cleaning, in effect Aug 8th and to Regina Industrial Subdivision (RM Sherwood) due to planned maintenance. Regional Health
Authority PDWAs were issued (in July) for Country Thunder due to not meeting minimum treatment or design requirements, Lawrence Bay Lodge due to the detection of Total Coliforms, Valley View Tea Room
due to high levels of Total Coliforms. Two Regional Health Authority-issued Emergency Boil Water Orders are in effect for Kings Park Speedway as well as for Jim and Lorna Greenway Approved Home; both
are due to the presence of E. Coli in their respective water systems.
Manitoba Advisory Map
In Manitoba, BWAs were issued to Arborg PWS and Southside Estates PWS; advisory causes were not stated and both are categorized as short term.
Alberta Advisory Map
In Alberta, a blue-green algae advisory (cyanobacteria) was issued for Sturgeon Lake by Alberta Health Services. A BWA was issued to one street in Red Deer, reason not stated.
British Columbia Advisory Map
In British Columbia, yesterday the City of West Kelowna issued a BWN to an isolated area of Lakeview-Rose Valley Water System due to the presence of total coliforms. Today the advisory has been
upgraded to a BWN and applies to the entire water system; the entire system had already been under a WQA due to turbidity levels.
Ontario Advisory Map
In Ontario, a BWA was issued by Ontario Parks for Turkey Point Provincial Park.
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, in Baie-Comeau a BWA was issued to Cremazie Mobile Home Park due to a break on the aqueduct system. In Rouyn-Noranda a preventive BWA will be in effect Aug 8th, applying to two
streets due to watermain replacement. In Lévis a preventive BWA was issued to one street due to an aqueduct break.
Newfoundland and Labrador Advisory Map
In Newfoundland and Labrador, the Town of Stephenville issued a preventive BWA to several streets due to the main water line having been breached due to construction.
