There were 22 new advisories issued since yesterday, 4 in BC, 7 in SK, 6 in QC, 1 in NL, 1 in MB, 2 in ON, 1 in NS.
British Columbia Advisory Map
In British Columbia, a BWN was issued by Vancouver Island Health to Lyall Island-Boot Cove due to excessive turbidity. Interior Health issued BWNs to La Casa on The Lake due to
insufficient treatment or disinfection residual, and to Sun Peaks Mountain Resort due to routine maintenance. IH issued a WQA to Coast Mountainview Trailer Park due to unacceptable water
quality results (microbiological). The Regional District Central Kootenay rescinded BWNs for both the Balfour and Erickson water systems.
Saskatchewan Advisory Map
In Saskatchewan, PDWAs were issued to the Village of Pennant due to service connection repairs, portion of Regina Beach due to planned maintenance, Jans Bay due to reservoir
cleaning. Advance notice of a PDWA was issued to a portion of Pense due to planned maintenance scheduled for tomorrow (Aug 12). The City of Prince Albert issued 2 localized DWAs, one
due to hydrant replacement and the other for watermain replacement. A PDWA was issued to a portion of Watson due to watermain repair.
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, a preventive BWA was issued to the Rue des Pins sector in Drummondville due to work on the aqueduct. In Lévis a preventive BWA was issued to 2 streets due to an
aqueduct break. In Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu a BWA was issued to one street due to a water leak. In Mascouche a BWA was issued to a portion of one street due to a valve leak. A preventive
BWA was issued to a number of addresses in Rouyn-Noranda reason not stated. A Provincial Government-issued Do Not Consume Advisory is in effect for Aire de service Cap-de-Pierre
(Québec City) reason not stated. Previously issued BWAs were lifted in Mirabel, Saint-Jérôme, Trois-Rivières, Pincourt.
Ontario Advisory Map
In Ontario, blue green algae (cyanobacteria) blooms were detected at both Parent Beach and Breton Beach on Lac Philippe. A First Nation BWA was issued to Pic River Public Water System,
short term.
Newfoundland and Labrador Advisory Map
In Newfoundland and Labrador, a BWA was issued to Port Anson-Anchor Pond due to the system undergoing maintenance or repair.
Nova Scotia Advisory Map
In Nova Scotia, the County of Inverness issued a preventive BWA to residents of Broad Cove Banks Rd and Sight Point, reason not stated.
Nunavut Advisory Map
In Nunavut, a previously issued BWA was lifted for Baker Lake.
Manitoba Advisory Map
In Manitoba, a WQA was issued to Dorothy Lake (Whiteshell Provincial Park), recreational site with year round operations, semi-public system; the advisory is categorized as medium-term.
