BWN was in effect for over 7 years, from August 30, 2018 because the Water System treatment equipment did not meet the Surface Water Treatment Objectives (SWTO) as mandated by the Drinking Water Protection Regulation (DWPR). 

With the completion of the new treatment equipment installation, along with other operational changes and upgrades, routine water sampling has resumed with desired results lending to the lifting of the long-term Boil Water Notice.
