BOIL WATER NOTICES
09/DEC/2024 - CANFOR INTERCON, 2533 PG Pulp Mill Road,
BWN issued due to the facility only using the clarifier and chlorine disinfectant this time of year; therefore, the facility is not meeting the treatment requirements for their surface water source. The Environmental Health Officer also observed that the coagulants, polymers, sand, and disc filters were not in use during the inspection. Post-clarifier turbidity was measured at an average of 1.65 NTU, above the maximum allowable 1 NTU.

BWN issued: UV disinfection system not functioning properly at the time of the inspection (Surface water source, with the UV as the primary disinfectant).
