Details:

BOIL WATER NOTICES 09/DEC/2024 - CANFOR INTERCON, 2533 PG Pulp Mill Road, BWN issued due to the facility only using the clarifier and chlorine disinfectant this time of year; therefore, the facility is not meeting the treatment requirements for their surface water source. The Environmental Health Officer also observed that the coagulants, polymers, sand, and disc filters were not in use during the inspection. Post-clarifier turbidity was measured at an average of 1.65 NTU, above the maximum allowable 1 NTU. 15/MAR/2024 - PURDEN SKI VILLAGE, 3000 Purden Ski Hill Rd, BWN issued: UV disinfection system not functioning properly at the time of the inspection (Surface water source, with the UV as the primary disinfectant). 18/AUG/2023 - NUKKO LAKE HALL BWN issued for unacceptable microbiological water quality results along with inability to consult operator about the functionality of the treatment system. 18/AUG/2023 - HUTDA LAKE CORRECTIONAL CAMP BWN issued: Facility has consistently had unsatisfactory microbiological water sample results, with noticeable deterioration of water quality within the past month. 27/JUN/2023 - NORDIC WATER COMPANY BWN issued for unsatisfactory bacteriological water results 01/MAR/2023 - JD LITTLE FOREST CENTRE BWN issued: Cause unknown, less staff onsite using water. Also lines may have not been flushed long enough before taking sample. Well and distribution lines have not been shocked or disinfected in over 10 years 22/JUL/2022 - NORTHWEST WOOD TREATERS BWN issued for unsatisfactory bacteriological water results 04/AUG/2020 - TABOR LAKE ESTATES BWN issued: Currently the cartridge filtration system is not believed to be working appropriately. More information is required to determine effectiveness of water treatment system. 21/JUL/2020 - CARRIER LUMBER BWN issued for unsatisfactory bacteriological results WATER QUALITY ADVISORIES 13/JAN/2023 - PINEVIEW IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, 8555 Pooley Road WQA issued: Manganese levels exceed maximum acceptable concentration 29/JUL/2022 - SPRUCE CAPITAL TRAILER PARK WQA issued: High Manganese levels and there is no treatment on the system for Manganese 10/NOV/2020 - MONTEITH CWS WQA issued because no water sample results for total coliform bacteria or Escherichia coli have been received for over one year. DO NOT CONSUME 24/OCT/2022 - NESS LAKE COMMUNITY HALL DNC issued due to arsenic levels in the well water exceeding maximum standards. Do Not Consume notice will remain in effect until proper treatment equipment has been installed on the water system that can reduce the level of total arsenic.
