Potable water is available in each of Yoho National Parks four campgrounds.
Water from creeks, streams or lakes must be treated or brought to a rolling boil for a minimum of 2 minutes before drinking.
27/MAR/2024 - Parks Canada announces long-term water closure due to invasive parasite.
Fishing, swimming, wading, the use of any watercraft such as a boat, paddle board, raft, or any other vessel in the area will be prohibited for at least a year.
26/OCT/2023 – Positive detection of whirling disease; caused by an invasive, parasitic myxosporean called Myxobolus Cerebralis.
