NORTH MIDDLESEX
WQA issued Aug 23 to the LAKE HURON PRIMARY WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM due to considerable thermocline inversion causing the lake water to turn over. Seasonal lake turnover events may bring up water with very low oxygen levels and cause higher manganese content. The water supply may have a strong odour and high turbidity but remains safe to drink.

WQA issued Aug 7 to the LAKE HURON PRIMARY WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM due to an organic compound which is causing an unusual taste/odour, however the water remains safe to drink.
