Details:

WQA issued January 22 due to the rapid refilling of the water supply source, the tap water is temporarily discoloured. Capital Regional District states: this discolouration poses no health or safety risks, the water remains safe to drink, and the water will return to its normal colouring, however, this could take several weeks.
The Skana Water System obtains its drinking water from a well field; Drinking Water Reports demonstrate a clear pattern of groundwater influenced by surface water. Also, the raw water is known to experience periods with elevated manganese concentrations, in particular during the aquifer recharge season.
