February 5 Residents were notified that Forever Chemicals PFAS have been detected in the Communitys three wells, exceeding Health Canadas objective. Slemon Park is home to a business park and residential community created on and around the site of former Canadian Forces Base. Options that are being considered: adding filtering systems for PFAS to the existing wells, drilling three new wells at another location, and potentially connecting to the City of Summerside for water supply.
