Details:

WQA issued April 9 due to elevated turbidity. Boiling is recommended for children, elderly and those with weakened immune systems.

This Water System does not currently meet all Canadian Standard Drinking Water Guidelines, it is not currently achieving 3-log reduction of Cryptosporidium and does not have two treatment process. The City has approved funding for a new UV Disinfection Facility Water Treatment Plant to provide a multi-barrier approach, which is currently in the design phase with construction expected to begin later this year. 

Raw (source) water sampling history has shown Manganese in exceedance of the MAC.
