Details:
JANUARY 12 Stage 4 water restrictions remain in place while the Bearspaw feeder main remains out of service and residents rely solely on the Glenmore Reservoir. The Reservoir water level has been drawn down to critical as water usage remains high, putting fire fighting services at risk.
This advisory is in effect for all usuers of Calgarys Municipal WS, including Airdrie, Strathmore, Tsuu T'ina Nation and Chestermere.
JANUARY 5 - BWO lifted but but citywide outdoor water restrictions remain in effect.
DECEMBER 30 - BWO issued following a major water main break that resulted in a significant flooding incident.
The break is being attributed to the Bearspaw South Feeder Main.
The City is implementing Stage 4 Water Restrictions for all outdoor water use, such as rinks and snow-making.
