SOUTH HAZELTON COMMUNITY WS – WQA issued March 12 due to water reservoirs being taken offline to complete necessary maintenance and cleaning from March 12 to March 20.
 
As a result of this work, higher turbidity levels may occur. High turbidity can make it easier for microorganisms to remain present in the water. While the water is still considered safe for most users, people with weakened or undeveloped immune systems (e.g. elderly people, pregnant women, children under the age of two, people with AIDS, cancer, diabetes or kidney disease, people being treated with immuno-suppressing medications) may wish to take extra precautions, such as: 1) boil water for at least one minute and let it cool before using\, 2) use bottled water, or 3) use an alternative approved source of water.
