5/1/26 VANCOUVER Metro Vancouver is jumping straight to Stage 2 water restrictions this year.
The early stringent estrictions are due to a lower snowpack, but the construction of a new water supply tunnel underneath Stanley Park, which replaces a water main built in the 1930s, is also keeping the pipe offline until late June or early July.
