CHUMP LAKE ATHABASCA COUNTY– AUGUST 14, 2026 - A cyanobacterial (blue-green algal) bloom and/or toxins have been identified in the waters of Chump Lake. Residents living near the shores of this lake, as well as visitors, are advised to take the following precautions: AVOID CONTACT, DO NOT DRINK OR COOK, DO NOT EAT WHOLE FISH, KEEP PETS AWAY- watertoday.ca
