OSOYOOS – BWA and WQA were issued Feb 12. The Town of Osoyoos experienced a significant instrumentation failure last night, causing one water reservoir to run dry and the Main Water Reservoir to drain to critical levels.

BWA in effect for the following areas: TOWN OF OSOYOOS; 115th St, Meadowlark Dr, Wren Pl and Dr, Raven Crt, Finch Cres, Swan Cres, Sandpiper Pl, Killdeer Pl, Curlew Crt. SOUTH RURAL AREA; 107th St, 42nd Ave, 26th Ave, 12th Ave, 6th Ave. NORTH RURAL Area; Hwy 97 north of Hwy 3, 100th Ave, 116th Ave, 115th Ave, 89th St.

WQA in effect for the entire Osoyoos domestic Water System as a precautionary measure to ensure users are aware of the potential for increased turbidity.

BWA reminder for Rural Water District 8: Everyone in receipt of the letter from the Town of Osoyoos dated April 2023; this advisory is still in effect. The agricultural irrigation district receives its water supply directly from the lake with limited treatment. This advisory is to inform the public of potential bacteria's and/or viruses in the water.
