ELK LAKE – BGA May 25 Swim portion of Ironman triathlon cancelled due blue-green algae bloom. The decision was made following water-quality tests taken from Elk Lake, including near the swim leg start/finish Hamsterly Beach, showed algal-bloom activity above the Health Canada threshold.

RIONDEL Water System – BWN issued May 23 due to mechanical failure of the filtration equipment requiring bypass of the water treatment plant.
