COURTENAY (Watutco Enterprises) – BWN issued December 15 due to excessive turbidity compromising treatment and water quality.

DUNCAN (Crossroads Centre Water System) – BWN issued December 15 due to unacceptable water quality results (Microbiological).

GRANISLE Community Water System – DNC issued December 14 due to a coagulant leak from the treatment system. The coagulant, composed of aluminum chlorohydrate, is used to bind materials in the raw source water to facilitate the filtration process. 
Recent testing of treated water supply showed aluminum at 3.75 mg/L; the maximum acceptable concentration is 2.9 mg/L. 
This Water System has been on a Water Quality Advisory since September 4 due to operational deficiencies resulting in elevated turbidity. Once the DNC is lifted, the QWA will be re-instated.
