There were 12 new advisories issued since yesterday: 6 in QC, 3 in BC, 3 in ON.
British Columbia Advisory Map
In British Columbia, a BWN was issued to properties on the Ruskin Water System (Mission) following a mudslide which caused issues with water quality; properties impacted include
the Ruskin Townsite and the Ruskin Trailer Court. A BWA was issued by RDCK (Regional District Central Kootenay) to a portion of the Ymir Water System due to leak repairs. A BWN was
issued by Northern Health to Baru Farm (Queen Charlotte) due to an unsatisfactory bacterial sample.
Flood Updates: Flood warnings have been issued by the Regional District Okanagan-Similkameen for the following: Tulameen River, Similkameen River, Spius Creek, Coldwater Creek, Lower Nicola River .
The City of Merritt was one of the hardest hit in the first severe flood event in mid-November. Residents are now returning to their homes however a BWA remains in effect. The City of Merritt has
reported that "although the Boil Water Notice remains in place and should be followed prior to consumption, residents of the Phase 1 and Phase 2 areas can use a normal amount of water, and
we are no longer asking for restraint. Phases 3 and Phase 4 remain on Do Not Consume status. Residences with water pressure in these areas should not use it while the flushing and testing program
continues."
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, a DNC Advisory was issued by the City of Montréal to the Rosemont Ecocentre as the drinking water may contain potentially harmful chemical products.
In Shawinigan, a BWA was issued to Saint-Gérard-des-Laurentides, Shawinigan, Shawinigan-Sud and Lac-à-la-Tortue in connection with a works project to bypass the current
installation in order to bring both raw and chlorinated water to area citizens. In Varennes, a BWA was issued to several addresses due to an aqueduct network break. A Provincial
Government-issued BWA is in effect for Restaurant Le Grillon (Kiamika), reason not stated. In Saint-Jérôme, a preventive BWA was issued in the Terrasse Forest sector due
to work on the aqueduct. In Laval a BWA was issued to a portion of one street, reason not stated.
Ontario Advisory Map
In Ontario, two localized precautionary BWAs were issued in Elliot Lake, both due to construction work in the respective areas. A BWA was issued by Porcupine District Health to a portion
of the Town of Moosonee, reason not stated.
Manitoba Advisory Map
In Manitoba, previously issued BWAs were lifted in both Cormorant North and South.
Nova Scotia Advisory Map
In Nova Scotia, a BWA was rescinded for Lakeland Cottages.
