There were 25 new advisories issued since Tuesday: 4 in BC, 4 in SK, 7 in QC, 1 in MB, 3 in ON, 5 in NL, 1 in AB.
Newfoundland and Labrador Advisory Map
In Newfoundland and Labrador, BWAs were issued to Parkers Cove due to the system undergoing maintenance or repair, Forresters Point-Rudges Pond due coliforms having been detected and confirmed
in repeat sample, Arnolds Cove-Steves Pond due to the system undergoing maintenance or repair. Two partial BWAs were issued in Corner Brook both due to repairs to the water distribution system.
Québec Advisory Map
In Québec, a BWA was issued to a portion of one street in Mirabel due to an aqueduct break. In Saint-Lambert, a preventive BWA was issued to a portion of one street due to infrastructure
upgrades. On Aug 22, a project to replace an aqueduct valve will commence affecting the municipalities of Saint-Constant, Sainte-Catherine, Candiac and Delson; when work commences, a BWA will
be in effect. Two BWAs were issued in the Montréal boroughs of Plateau-Mont-Royal and Villeray-Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension. In Saint-Jérôme, two localized BWAs were issued, reasons
not stated. A BWA was issued to one street in Lévis due to service box repair. Previously issued BWAs were lifted in Buckingham and Sainte-Adèle.
Ontario Advisory Map
In Ontario, blue-green algae (cyanobacteria blooms) advisories were issued by Simcoe-Muskoka DHU for the Northeast end of Lake St John, and for the Northwest end of Paint Lake. A BWA was
issued in Fairbank Provincial Park. Previously issued BWAs were lifted in Rushing River Provincial Park and Lake Superior Provincial Park. Previously issued BWAs are still in effect in the following parks:
Blue Lake, Algonquin, Biscotasi Lake, Fushimi Lake, Ivanhoe Lake, Rene Brunelle, Shoals, White Lake, Kawartha Highlands, MacLeod, Misery Bay, Missinaibi, Pakwash.
British Columbia Advisory Map
In British Columbia, Vancouver Island Health issued a BWN to China Creek Marina due to distribution system integrity failure. Regional District Central Kootenay issued a BWN to a portion
of Balfour WS users due to watermain tie-in work. Interior Health issued BWNs to Chateau Village and Tarrys District Community Hall, both due to unacceptable water quality results (microbiological).
Saskatchewan Advisory Map
In Saskatchewan, PDWAs were issued to the Northern Village of Cumberland House due to elevated turbidity, Greig Lake due to a watermain break, Leask due to a line break, a portion of
Qu'Appelle due to depressurization.
Alberta Advisory Map
In Alberta, a blue-green algae advisory was issued by Alberta Health Services for parts of Calling Lake.
Nunavut Advisory Map
In Nunavut, a previously issued BWA was lifted in Iqaluit.
Manitoba Advisory Map
In Manitoba, a BWA was issued to Potenza Pizza (Grand Marais) Semi-public water system, reason not stated; the advisory is categorized as short term.
