CRANBROOK Municipal WS WQA in effect November 17, the City will be conducting inspections and cleaning of the intake screens at the Phillips Reservoir. This work is a necessary step in ongoing project planning for the Ultraviolet Disinfection Facility currently under development. During this period, residents may notice temporary changes in water quality, including elevated turbidity levels and potential fluctuations in chlorine concentrations. It is recommended that children, the elderly, those with weakened immune systems, or anyone who wishes additional protection to use boiled water or a safe alternative.

HAY RIVER Community Water System 4 WQAs issued November 3. Drinking Water Advisories issued to four (4) South Slave Communities due to high levels of Trihalomethanes (THMs) which are caused by the reaction of chlorine with naturally occurring organic material in water, such as algae, decaying plants/vegetation and soil runoff. Tests have shown THMs slowly increasing since August 2024. An aging infrastructure and low water levels are attributed to the elevated levels of THMS. The communities affected are the Town of Hay River, Hamlet of Enterprise, Kαtłodeeche First Nation (Catlow D Chafers) and Ka'a'gee Tu First Nation (Kakiza).
