ISSUED
MILL BAY (Daniel Wisnia Aldcroft) – BWN issued January 9 due to source water quality deterioration.
PEMBERTON (Twin-Two-Lillooet Lake Lodge) – BWN issued December 20.
UPDATE
GRANISLE Community Water System – DNC remains in effect. Residents headed into the New Year unable to drink their tap water as the community waits for an engineering assessment, conducted in collaboration with the manufacturer, of their Water Treatment Plant’s chemical and mechanical issues. A do not consume order was put in place December 14 after unsafe levels of ALUMINUM were detected in the Village's Water Supply due to a coagulant leak. Preceding the do not consume order, a water quality advisory was in effect from September 4 due to operational deficiencies with the filtration system that resulted in elevated TURBIDITY. The situation is particularly frustrating for the Community because the Water Treatment Plant is still relatively new and it shouldn't be having these issues.
LIFTED

ABBOTSFORD (Elks Recreation Childrens Camp Society) – BWN was in effect June 19 to January 9 for total coliforms.
SHAWNIGAN LAKE (OUR The Commons WS) – BWN was in effect from July 3 due to unapproved water system supply or construction works.

ISSUED
CORMORANT NORTH Public Water System – BWA issued December 30 following routine monitoring of the treated water supply indicated a failure in the treatment process; allowing poorly treated water to enter the distribution system.
SNOW LAKE Public Water System – BWA issued December 30 following routine monitoring of the treated water supply indicated a failure in the treatment process; allowing poorly treated water to enter the distribution system.
CROSS LAKE Public Water System – BWA issued December 30 due to a power outage; a transmission line, that ran between a pair of islands in the Nelson River, snapped Sunday evening, December 28. The ice below the line wasn’t thick enough to safely support service vehicles, instead Manitoba Hydro contracted two helicopters to assist in replacing a 300-metre stretch of cable. The Community of about 7,000 residents started evacuations with vulnerable members most at risk; Elders, infants, children, and medically dependent. For those community members who left, this latest evacuation would have been the third in 2025, after being forced from their homes due to wildfires in May, and again in July. December 29 Pimicikamak Cree Nation declared a State of Emergency due to the widespread and ongoing power outage affecting homes, critical infrastructure, and essential services; Compounded by severe temperatures dipping to -42 °C with wind chill. January 1 Manitoba Hydro began restoring power in stages to avoid overloading the system, with power fully restored as of 1:30 p.m. on Friday January 2. Once power was restored and homes started to heat up, residents began reporting burst pipes, leaks and sewage backups. Frozen sewage lines caused toilets to heave and even topple over. Electrical shortages caused a few fires; with water sources out of operation, firefighters were able to rescue the residents but not able to save their homes. It is estimated about 70 percent of homes have sustained damage; some homes were rendered uninhabitable. The repairs are expected to take weeks; the Community is seeking skilled tradespeople and engineers to help fix damaged infrastructure and perform inspections. The Water Treatment Plant was also damaged during the power outage and is currently unable to draw water into its reservoir, leaving the Community without potable water. The Water Treatment Plant is delipidated, practically beyond repair as replacement parts are nearly impossible to find; as stated in the press release August 19, 2025 when a State of Emergency was declared following a breakdown at the Plant that left the Community weeks without potable water.

UPDATE
KUGAARUK Community WS – DNC LIFTED. This Community of about 1,200 residents had been without potable water for nearly a month. The non-consumption advisory was in effect December 9 to January 6; Seawater had flooded the Water Treatment Plant on December 7 following an unusually high, supermoon tide that produced a tidal bore strong enough to push seawater upriver, against the current, to the Plant. A local State-of-Emergency was subsequently declared but promptly ended December 12. January 6 a Boil Water Advisory (BWA), however, remains in place for Kugaaruk residents due to a mechanical issue at the Plant.
